I am part of an armed historical reenactment association called Aper Labronicus (Livorno’s Boars in Latin).

What do we do?

We specialize in showfight duels, meaning we lose some of the historical reenactment of using a sword to provide a more good looking and more show like use of the weapons. We do not choreograph the fights but they are a natural flow of what we train for.

We participate in full on battlefields encounters with other association when reenacting a real historical battle.

We recreate life in a military encampment while truly living the experiences of the times

What we use

Our weapon of choice is the XII century sword with which we train weekly. We also use shields, longswords, two handed swords and rarely other smaller sidearms.

We also torture ourselves wearing scale mail and plate armors
